Pedalhounds MTB-EMTB Enduro Rules and Regulations

Rules and Regulations

Mash up race format will be used for the Pedalhounds MTB – EMTB Enduro.

The Mash up format allows riders to ride the stages in any order each lap.

When riding the stages riders must leave a 15 second gap between the rider in front.

There are no time restraints on transitions from one stage to another, ride the event at your own pace.

Riders timing chips will be activated as you pass through the START GANTRY at the start of the race.  It is the rider’s responsibility to make sure the timing chip is flashing (beeping) at the beginning of the race (after passing through the start gantry) and throughout the race.  If you have any doubts please return to the timing desk at any time.

Riders will be required to return to Race HQ Timing Desk after completing the event to download their stage times for their final result.  Failure to do so will lead to stage times not being recorded.

Riders can return to Race HQ Timing Desk after each lap to download their times.

Once your chip has been activated do not walk down the stages because you will activate a timed run.

Please keep safely behind the course tapes at all times when not racing.

Once you have started a stage you must ride to the stage finish to record your time.

All stages will be taped where race organisers deem appropriate.  Taping will leave suitable line choice where available, but will not allow for any significant ‘cutting’ of the race track.

Any competitor seen to be crossing stage tape, marker posts or taking any route deemed to be off the official race track may be disqualified or receive a time penalty.

There must be no interference with the track, such as removing rocks, roots or branches.  Any competitor deemed to be interfering with the track may be disqualified.

If a rider spots any obstructions or dangers on the track, please inform a Race Marshal straight away.

Rider Conduct

All riders must attend the Rider Briefing before the race and listen to information given, including any last minute changes that may occur.

All competitors must behave in a sporting fashion.  Observe all rules and instructions provided by organisers, timing staff and marshals.

Should you be caught by another rider in a stage the rider must inform you which side he/she intends to pass and vice versa.  Always pass on the safest side.

Any rider coming across an incident on stage that he/she deems serious must stop immediately and inform the nearest marshal.

All instructions given by race officials must be observed.

PLEASE TAKE YOUR LITTER HOME, THIS INCLUDES BANANA SKINS, APPLE CORES AND CIGARETTE BUTTS.

This event should be fun. Foul or abusive language and behaviour will not be tolerated.
